On April 2, 2026, MNR Medicity Campus opened its gates for the very first time — welcoming over 500 guests including dignitaries, faculty, students, and community leaders for a historic inauguration ceremony that marked the birth of a new chapter in Karnataka's medical education landscape.
The morning of April 2, 2026 began like no other in Kolambe, Karnataka. Flags flew, the campus grounds hummed with anticipation, and nearly 500 guests — doctors, educators, politicians, parents, and students — gathered beneath the soaring façade of the MNR Medical College main block to witness what would become a landmark moment: the official inauguration of MNR Medicity Campus.
The Ceremony
The inauguration began at 10:00 AM with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, followed by a ribbon-cutting that officially declared MNR Medical College open to the world. The auditorium — fully air-conditioned, with a seating capacity of 800 — was filled to capacity. Dignitaries on the dais included the MNR Trust Chairman, the Dean and Principal, the Medical Director, senior faculty, and representatives from the National Medical Commission.
